Amber Resin - 50g

A small tub of amber resin incense, handy if you are new to burning resin or want to add another scent to the shelf. The resin is placed on a hot charcoal disc, where it gives off a smoky and unusual fragrance. Each tub holds roughly 45g to 50g, as the weights are approximate.

Use it when you have time to sit with it: resin burning is a slower ritual than lighting a stick. You need an incense holder and charcoal discs.

How to burn

Light a charcoal disc, holding it with tongs, and place it in your incense holder; the charcoal then lights itself across the surface. Once it starts to turn grey around the edges, add a little resin. Some people put sand in the holder to help absorb the heat.

• Charcoal tablets get extremely hot: light them with tongs, never by hand, and only in a heat-resistant container.
• Use in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Never leave burning charcoal or incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
• Let the container and ash cool completely before touching or emptying it.
