Frankincense Resin - 50g

Frankincense resin for burning on charcoal, packed in a small tub. Dropped onto a glowing charcoal disc, the resin gives off a smoky fragrance that is distinctive and hard to forget. Tubs are filled by approximate weight, so expect between 45g and 50g.

Burn a few pieces in the evening, on a home altar or through the Christmas season. Charcoal discs and an incense holder are needed to use it.

Lighting it

Light a charcoal disc, holding it with tongs, and place it in your incense holder; the charcoal then lights itself across the surface. Once it starts to turn grey around the edges, add a little resin. Some people put sand in the holder to help absorb the heat.

Safety

• Charcoal tablets get extremely hot: light them with tongs, never by hand, and only in a heat-resistant container.
• Use in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Never leave burning charcoal or incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
• Let the container and ash cool completely before touching or emptying it.
