Myrrh Resin - 50g

Wait for the charcoal to turn grey at the edges, add a pinch of this myrrh resin and the smoke begins to rise. Sold in a tub holding approximately 45g to 50g, it is loose resin incense with a smoky fragrance quite unlike a stick or cone.

Myrrh pairs well with frankincense if you like to burn the two together. An incense holder and charcoal discs are needed.

Lighting it

Light a charcoal disc, holding it with tongs, and place it in your incense holder; the charcoal then lights itself across the surface. Once it starts to turn grey around the edges, add a little resin. Some people put sand in the holder to help absorb the heat.

Incense safety

• Charcoal tablets get extremely hot: light them with tongs, never by hand, and only in a heat-resistant container.
• Use in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Never leave burning charcoal or incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
• Let the container and ash cool completely before touching or emptying it.
