Description

Three Kings is a resin incense with a name borrowed from the Christmas story. It comes loose in a tub of about 45g to 50g (weights are approximate) and is burned a little at a time on a charcoal disc, filling the room with a smoky, evocative scent.

It is a natural pick for Advent and Christmas Eve, though nothing stops you burning it all year. Charcoal discs and a holder are used with it.

In the pack

  • Size: 6.5 x 6 cm
  • Resin: Three Kings
  • Weight: Approx. 45-50g
  • Packaging: Tub

How to burn

Light a charcoal disc, holding it with tongs, and place it in your incense holder; the charcoal then lights itself across the surface. Once it starts to turn grey around the edges, add a little resin. Some people put sand in the holder to help absorb the heat.

Worth knowing

  • Sprinkled onto lit charcoal
  • Tub keeps the resin together between uses

Keeping it fresh

Store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight.

Burning safely

  • Charcoal tablets get extremely hot: light them with tongs, never by hand, and only in a heat-resistant container.
  • Use in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Never leave burning charcoal or incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
  • Let the container and ash cool completely before touching or emptying it.
