A heavy cast iron cauldron with a pentagram etched into its side, made for burning incense and herbs or for standing at the centre of an altar. It comes in a choice of two sizes, 15cm and 19cm.
It is a working piece as much as a decoration, at home in witchcraft and pagan practice or on a gothic shelf. If you would rather not light anything in it, it makes a handsome display cauldron on its own.
The specifics
Material: Cast iron
Design: Pentagram
Sizes: 15cm or 19cm
Worth knowing
- For burning incense and herbs
- Doubles as a striking altar centrepiece
How it is used
Stand the cauldron on a heat-resistant surface before lighting incense or herbs inside it. The iron holds heat, so leave it to cool fully afterwards.
Safety
- Cast iron gets very hot in use: always stand the cauldron on a heat-resistant surface and handle it with care.
- Never leave anything burning unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
- Use in a well-ventilated room, and let the cauldron cool completely before touching, moving or emptying it.
- Not suitable for use with candles.
