Description

The engraving on this little incense jar shows the pentagram and triple moon together, an emblem that stands for the divine feminine as well as for protection and spiritual balance. Made by hand in India out of solid brass, the jar is built for charcoal incense: its mesh lid lifts off and spreads the heat evenly beneath resins, herbs and incense powders.

Small and practical, it fits on a crowded altar or in a corner set aside for ritual. It is a thoughtful gift for a pagan friend or anyone who follows the moon.

The short version

  • Mesh lid that lifts off
  • Burns resins, herbs and incense powders on charcoal
  • Made by hand in India

Dimensions and material

  • Size: 7 x 4.5 cm
  • Material: Solid brass

Setting it up

Light a charcoal tablet with tongs and let it settle into the container until it glows and turns grey at the edges, then sprinkle a little resin or loose incense on top.

Use it safely

  • Charcoal tablets get extremely hot: light them with tongs, never by hand, and only in a heat-resistant container.
  • Use in a well-ventilated room, on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Never leave burning charcoal or incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
  • Let the container and ash cool completely before touching or emptying it.
