Shaped and carved like a turtle, this coconut kalimba is a playable thumb piano and a piece of artisan decor at once. The body is coconut shell with a dark antique finish, and a row of metal keys on top gives soft, melodic notes when plucked.
How it is made
Material: Coconut shell, steel
Finish: Dark antique
Because every shell is natural, the markings and texture differ from one kalimba to the next. It would sit well in a boho or ocean-themed room, and makes a good gift for travellers, yoga fans or anyone who likes handmade instruments.
