For the household where the cat already owns the bathroom, here is a large soap dish with a cat design. Craftspeople in India carve it by hand from natural soapstone, which gives it a muted, earthy finish.
Why it is useful
- Carved by hand from natural soapstone
- Holes let the soap dry between uses
- Each one slightly different
The specifics
Material: Natural soapstone
Design: Cat
Made in: India
It has three holes so that air gets underneath the bar. That limits the damp that builds up in an ordinary dish and means the soap stays firmer and goes further. As with all handcrafted stone, expect slight variation in size and colour.
Care
Rinse under the tap now and then to clear soap residue, and leave to dry.
