No two of these are alike. Each hanging bowl starts as hand-blown recycled glass, which is draped while still hot over a piece of Balinese Gamal root. As it cools, the glass sets to the exact contours of the wood, so bowl and root fit together like a hand in a glove.
The pieces are handmade in Bali with hand tools, in the traditional way. This version is made to be fitted to a wall, where it gives a striking setting for air plants, a few stones or a stem or two of cut flowers.
