Glass and root, made to fit each other. For this medium bowl a craftsperson in Bali blows recycled glass by hand and lets it relax over a piece of Gamal root while it is hot. The glass cools into the shape of the wood, giving a bowl that sits snugly in its natural stand.
It is a mid-sized piece that suits a coffee table, sideboard or bathroom shelf. Fill it with stones and an air plant, float a flower head in it or leave it empty and let the two materials speak for themselves.
