Small enough for a bedside table, this little bowl pairs recycled glass with a chunk of Balinese Gamal root. The glass is hand-blown, then laid over the wood while hot so it hardens into a perfect fit, a technique carried out in Bali with traditional hand tools.
At about 13 x 12.5 x 10 cm it is the easiest of the molten glass pieces to find a home for. Try it with a single air plant, a handful of tumbled stones or a few flower heads, and give one as a present to somebody who likes natural materials.
